I have 30+ years of experience in education, the last 20 in higher education. I am blessed to have been able to serve as a public school teacher and assistant principal, and a university professor, department chair and college assistant dean. At the university-level, I gained extensive experience in accreditation through work with NCATE, and more recently CAEP. While advancing professionally within the university in the area of teacher education, I was able to gain additional experience as a consultant in assessment and program evaluation for federal grants, local school districts, and the state department of education.
My work in preparing teachers for public schools in my region led me to an increased interest in workforce development, in general. This interest has brought me out of academia and into private sector training as a Learning Strategist for a progressive training development company that has been IACET-approved since 2005.
