FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sterling, VA, August 26, 2026 – The International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) is pleased to announce the return of Greg Richmond to its Board of Directors, continuing his service to the organization and its mission to advance quality continuing education and training.

Richmond currently serves as Corporate Training Director at Group CBS, bringing more than 20 years of leadership and management experience to his work in technical education, electrical safety, workforce development, apprenticeship, and standards-based training.

“Greg understands the connection between quality education and what ultimately happens in the workplace,” said Randy Bowman, President and CEO of IACET. “His experience across technical training, safety, workforce development, and organizational leadership gives him a valuable perspective on the responsibility education and training providers have to the people and industries they serve. We are pleased to have him continue that work as a member of the IACET Board.”

Richmond’s commitment to training and professional development took shape during more than 20 years of active-duty military service. His experience as a training coordinator and pipeline apprenticeship instructor led him to pursue education in adult learning and electromechanical technology and ultimately build a career centered on workforce education.

Following his military retirement, Richmond joined AVO Training Institute as an instructor and progressed into leadership positions including Instructor Manager and Director of Training Operations. His responsibilities included overseeing instructors and training operations, modernizing curriculum, supporting safety programs, integrating emerging technologies into learning, and supporting IACET accreditation processes.

“It is an honor to continue my service with IACET and to once again work with such a talented and dedicated group of leaders. I strongly value IACET’s mission to advance the global workforce by establishing a trusted framework for quality learning and development through accreditation, ensuring that education and training create meaningful and measurable outcomes. As I return to the Board, I hope to bring a practical workforce-development perspective that connects accreditation standards with the real-world needs of employers, training providers, and today’s learners.  I am thrilled to contribute to IACET’s continued growth and to play a meaningful role in shaping the organization’s direction over the next three years,” said Richmond.

As Richmond begins his returning term, his combination of hands-on industry experience, instructional leadership, and previous IACET service will continue to inform the Board’s work to support quality, relevant, and effective continuing education and training.
