FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sterling, VA, August 26, 2026 – The International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) is pleased to announce David Kamen as Treasurer and Amie Royer as Secretary of its Board of Directors. Both bring previous IACET Board experience to their new leadership roles, along with professional expertise spanning continuing education, workforce development, organizational leadership, financial stewardship, advocacy, and professional learning.

“David and Amie have each demonstrated a strong commitment to IACET and to the work of the Board,” said Randy Bowman, President and CEO of IACET. “As they step into these leadership roles, they bring different but complementary perspectives. David’s financial, operational, and strategic experience and Amie’s background in governance, advocacy, and professional education will be valuable as we continue strengthening IACET and advancing our mission.”

Kamen serves as Director of Continuing Education & Consulting at The Culinary Institute of America (CIA), where he leads a global, multi-campus portfolio encompassing workforce development, professional education, consulting, credentialing, and industry partnerships across the food, beverage, and hospitality sectors. He previously served as an IACET Director from April 2022 through December 2024 and returned to Board service in January 2026.

As Treasurer, Kamen will bring extensive financial and operational experience to the Board. At CIA, he oversees a portfolio valued at more than $10 million and a 30-person cross-functional team, with responsibilities spanning budgeting, forecasting, business development, workforce strategy, client partnerships, and program and portfolio management. His previous IACET service has also included participation on the Finance, Governance, and Distance Learning Committees.

“I am excited to return to the IACET Board for another term and especially honored to serve as a member of the executive team. I look forward to working with my fellow Board members and IACET leadership to strengthen the organization’s impact and continue its evolution as a globally recognized and respected leader in continuing education and training,” said Kamen.

Royer is CEO of AIR Child Care Training Solutions, a nationally recognized organization providing approved childcare professional development in all 50 states through state childcare quality rating systems. Her work has combined continuing education, workforce development, organizational leadership, and advocacy for greater access to quality professional development.

Royer brings established IACET governance experience to the Secretary position. She is currently serving her second term on the IACET Board of Directors and her third year on the IACET Education Committee. Her previous IACET service has also included the Governance Committee and Early Childhood Education Advisory Board.

Together, Kamen and Royer bring continuity, institutional knowledge, and complementary professional perspectives to IACET’s Board leadership. As Treasurer and Secretary, they will support strong governance and organizational stewardship while helping IACET continue its work to advance quality continuing education and training.
