FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sterling, VA, August 26, 2026 – The International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) is pleased to welcome David Kamen back to its Board of Directors. Kamen previously served as a Director from April 2022 through December 2024, contributing his experience and perspective to the Board’s work. Following a brief recess in 2025, he returned to Board service in January 2026 and continues his commitment to supporting IACET’s mission and the advancement of quality continuing education and training.
Kamen serves as Director of Continuing Education & Consulting at The Culinary Institute of America (CIA), where he leads a global, multi-campus portfolio encompassing workforce development, professional education, consulting, credentialing, and industry partnerships across the food, beverage, and hospitality sectors.
“David has already demonstrated his commitment to IACET through his Board and committee service, and I’m excited to see him take this next step in his leadership,” said Randy Bowman, President and CEO of IACET. “He brings strong financial and operational experience together with a deep understanding of professional education and workforce development. As he begins his first term as Treasurer, that combination will be valuable in helping IACET steward its resources responsibly while continuing to invest in our mission and future.”
At CIA, Kamen oversees a portfolio valued at more than $10 million and a 30-person cross-functional team. His responsibilities span business development, budgeting, pricing, forecasting, workforce strategy, client partnerships, and program and portfolio management.
His work has also contributed to the growth of CIA’s workforce and professional education initiatives, including expanding a K–12 foodservice workforce training business, growing CIA Consulting, advancing the ProChef Certification program, and developing professional development models designed to support learners throughout their careers.
Kamen enters the Treasurer position with previous IACET governance experience, having served on the organization’s Finance, Governance, and Distance Learning Committees during his Board service.
“My service on the IACET Board has been both professionally rewarding and deeply educational, and I am proud of what we have accomplished together. As Treasurer, I look forward to working closely with the leadership team and Board to help position IACET for sustainable growth and expanded global impact. I believe IACET has an exciting opportunity to build upon its role as a respected accrediting organization and further establish itself as a global leader in continuing education and training standards and best practices. I am honored to take on this new responsibility and excited to help shape the next chapter of IACET’s growth and influence,” said Kamen.
Kamen holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Culinary Education from SUNY Empire State College, as well as an Associate in Occupational Studies in Culinary Arts from The Culinary Institute of America. He is also a Certified Professional Chef (Level III).
As Treasurer, Kamen will bring his financial, operational, and strategic experience to IACET’s leadership while continuing to contribute his perspective on workforce development, credentialing, professional education, and industry partnerships.
