Press Release: IACET Announces New Director of Operations, Missy Thompson

Sterling, VA — October 18, 2024 -The International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) is proud to announce the appointment of Melissa (Missy) Thompson as the new Director of Operations. Missy brings over 15 years of experience in membership management, regulatory relations, and operational leadership, making her an invaluable addition to the IACET leadership team. 

Missy has an impressive track record in streamlining processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering strong customer relationships. Her career includes positions at the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine and the American Public University System, where she played a crucial role in managing licensing operations and strategic planning initiatives. In addition to her operational expertise, Missy is well-versed in project management and the use of key software platforms like Salesforce, Smartsheet, and MS Teams. 

In her new role, Missy will lead IACET’s operations with a focus on financial management, HR functions, and cross-functional team leadership. Her vast experience in budget management, payroll, and employee relations will be instrumental in driving operational success across the organization.
