Reston, Virginia – Long time IACET stakeholder, David Ortner (pictured below) has been appointed to serve on the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) Board of Directors. IACET is a third-party accrediting agency that ensures providers of continuing education and training (CE/T) have completed rigorous audits that meet the ANSI/IACET 2018-1 Standard addressing the design, development, administration, and evaluation of learning programs.
David Ortner is a learning, organization development, talent management, and human resources professional with over 10 years of related experience, including global practice. Ortner currently works in Human Resources at Herzing University, a Higher Learning Commission-accredited, career-focused university with 10 brick-and-mortar campuses in 7 US states and a growing virtual global campus. Ortner holds a Master of Education (EdM) in Human Resource Development from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Ortner previously served as the lead accreditation specialist for Rotary International’s world headquarters (an IACET accredited provider), where he led professional development activities, including a comprehensive management development certificate program. In addition to his experience working with an IACET accredited provider, Ortner also served on the IACET Council on Standards Development, served as an IACET Commissioner, and served on the IACET Communications Taskforce. Previously, Ortner served on the adjunct Faculty member at Northwestern College.
