Washington, DC (USA)

January 21, 2027

8:30 am–4:30 pm EDT

This interactive workshop is a collaborative learning experience where you'll work through the ANSI/IACET 1-2018 Standard step by step—exploring how the Standard and application are structured, understanding the policies, processes, and evidence required, and applying what you learn to your organization's own practices and documentation.

PLEASE NOTE: Each workshop registration is for one individual participant. Session length and format (in-person or virtual) vary by date, so please review the event details at the bottom of this page before registering.

Before registering, you must purchase the ANSI/IACET 1-2018 Standard & Application Bundle.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Identify and create the documents required by each element of the application and reapplication.
  • Articulate the rationale behind the requirements of the ANSI/IACET 1-2018 Standard for Continuing Education and Training (the Standard).
  • Create and/or modify internal policies and processes that comply with the Standard and are required as evidence in the (re)application.
  • Create a plan to support Standard compliance across your organization.
  • Describe and practice the steps for sound instructional design and delivery as required by the Standard.

You'll also get hands-on practice navigating IACET's Accreditation Management System (AMS), including how to upload documentation, respond to reviewer feedback, and revise flagged items. You'll leave with a personalized action plan identifying what's ready, what needs work, and your next steps.

Learning Event Materials: Learner Workbook and handouts. (*Participants are encouraged to have their organization's application documentation available to reference and apply during workshop activities.)

Successful Completion: To receive a certificate of completion and digital badge, you must attend at least 90% of the workshop and actively participate in training activities and discussions. For virtual sessions, a working webcam and microphone are required, with the webcam activated throughout the event.

The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) has been pre-approved by the ATD Certification Institute to offer programs counting toward initial eligibility and recertification of the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) and Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) credentials. This program qualifies for a maximum of 7 points.
