AI is changing the world of online continuing education in so many different ways.

IACET standards provide a useful framework for navigating these changes, but ultimately it is up to accredited organizations to ensure their learning events meet requirements. In this exclusive conversation with IACET, Integrity Advocate co-founder Robert Day will discuss some of the current threats to online learning events, with an emphasis on AI and GPT-based technology that can undermine CEU integrity. Then, we’ll cover some of the best practices for mitigating these threats that accredited organizations can adopt today. This discussion will draw from IACET’s own standard, as well as Integrity Advocate’s newly released white paper, IACET Standard Guidance: Safeguarding the Integrity of Continuing Education and Training in the AI Era.

By the end of the webinar, we'll have covered the following topics:

  • How emerging technologies, including AI/GPT, can compromise the integrity of standards and accreditation processes, and why existing controls may be insufficient for combatting them.
  • How to meet IACET/ANSI standard section 8.1 guidance for verifying learner identity, both in person and online.
  • How to ensure genuine participation in learning events and document due diligence around these efforts
  • What’s at stake when training doesn’t meet IACET standards: how recent court cases have shifted the conversation around liability
  • Identify the differences and complementary nature between proficiency levels, target audience, and competency-based training.
