May 11, 2023

1:00–2:00 pm EDT

The purpose of this webinar is to assist course developers with the difficult and important task of performing learning assessment.  Rules for writing learning outcomes will be included, since outcomes drive content, and valid assessment should reflect published objectives. This session will emphasize multiple choice question writing, and highlight errors commonly committed with this type of assessment.  Developing rubrics for evaluating essay/short answer questions will also be addressed.

After attending this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Write learning objectives with intentional links to content
  • Assess learners at a level consistent with documented learning outcomes
  •  Develop learning assessments (multiple choice questions, rubrics) using best-practice strategies
