Every training organization gathers and stores personally identifiable information (PII) of their learners. The ANSI/IACET 2018-1 Standard for Continuing Education and Training also requires that training organizations "maintain an operational record keeping system, including backup, for each learner and learning event." Organizations are expected to manage this private data appropriately and take every precaution to protect it from loss, unauthorized access or theft. Misusing, losing or otherwise compromising this data can carry a steep financial cost and damage an organization's reputation. This webinar will examine the challenges companies face, as well as, steps they can take to protect themselves against data breaches and ensure the safety and security of this sensitive information.

By the end of this webinar, learners will be able to:
- Define personally identifiable information (PII)
- Identify the organizational and individual responsibilities for safeguarding PII
- Identify methods of attack used by malicious actors and how to counter those attacks
- Identify the steps to create a data privacy policy
