For developers, general contractors, and construction workers who are filing permits with the NYCDOB or working on construction sites that are permitted by the Department of Buildings, Design Build Engineering PLLC provides safety training and site safety plans in order to comply with New York City construction safety requirements. In addition to these services, we also provide Construction Superintendent services as well as other Engineering Consulting services.
In the Training Department we currently provide 15 courses to our students, 10 Hour Construction OSHA Certification Training Course,30 Hour Construction OSHA Certification Training Course, 2 Hr Drug and Alcohol Awareness Course, 8 Hr Fall Prevention, 4 HR Fall Prevention, 4 HR Supported Scaffold User and Refresher, 8 HR Site Safety Manager Course, 2 HR Site Safety Plan Course, 2HR Toolbox Talks Course, 2 HR Pre-Shift Meeting Course, 1 HR Confined Space Awareness, 1 HR Ergonomic Safety Awareness Course, 1 HR Material Handling Course, 1 HR Electrocution Awareness Course. We are certified by OSHA and are and Approved Department of Buildings Course Provider to provide these courses. Additionally, we are certified to provide 4 hour flagger training via ATSSA, American Traffic Safety Services Association. We have not taught any flagger classes as of April 2021.
The group responsible for Continuing Education and Training integrates with the organization because it provides the contractors and developers as well as construction workers the necessary training the the Department of Buildings requires for all NYC construction workers who currently work in New York City. The IACET accreditation allowed Design Build Engineering PLLC the ability to become a Department of Building Approved Course Provider. This allows Design Build Engineering PLLC to teach additional courses and topics in construction safety approved by the Department of Buildings Agency in New York City in order to keep New York City construction workers knowledgeable and trained in the construction safety laws including Department of Building Building Code and OSHA construction safety regulations.
