Based on its recognition of the importance of training and the development of its human resources, the Saudi Water Authority, in the year 1402-1982, established a training center in Al Jubail and Jeddah, and since then began the process of training in the Authority and developing its resources by keeping align with the latest training methods, systems and methodologies in the field of industry desalination, and the growth in this aspect continued for decades for more than 40 years - by the grace of God - with qualitative outputs witnessed by the labor market in the institution and in the public and private sectors.
In 2010-2011, the center began providing training services to employees of other sectors from outside the Authority after the approval of the board of directors of the Authority on the commercial operation of the center, within the framework of the commercial transformation project for the work of the center, as it attracted many clients in the governmental and private sectors, from inside and outside the Kingdom
And in the year 2020, the name of the training center was changed to the "Saudi Water Academy", and the new visual identity has been developed to open up broader horizons of training, upgrading training services, spreading globally and knowledge according to an ambitious vision aimed at enhancing the sustainability of water production, and the academy aspires to provide an integrated educational and training experience according to modern learning methodologies and techniques, compatible with the current objectives, requirements and training needs of the labor market with the aim of upgrading and taking care of the human resource and preparing it for the labor market as one of the most important objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
