About
The PHMSA Training and Qualifications (TQ) Center trains Federal and State Pipeline Inspectors and other PHMSA staff. Each year TQ averages 3000 course completions.
TQ provides in-depth classroom training and expanded hands-on outdoor/ lab areas to prepare inspectors through actual field scenarios. In addition to hands-on training, TQ also offers distance learning (DL) modules to keep inspectors current on provisions of new and revised regulations, national consensus standards, interpretations, relevant research and development, and noteworthy practices.
