FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sterling, VA — March 7, 2025- The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and the Association for Talent Development Certification Institute (ATD CI) are pleased to announce a groundbreaking partnership to launch the ATD Pre-Approved Provider Fast Track Program. This initiative streamlines the approval process for IACET-accredited organizations, enabling them to offer high-quality professional development hours that align with the ATD Talent Development Capability Model. This collaboration reinforces a shared commitment to excellence in adult learning and workforce development by leveraging IACET’s internationally recognized accreditation standards and ATD CI’s robust certification framework.

“We are excited to partner with ATD CI to provide a more efficient pathway for professional development providers,” said Randy Bowman, IACET President & CEO. “This program not only upholds the highest standards of training for talent development professionals but also ensures alignment with globally recognized best practices.”

The ATD Pre-Approved Provider Fast Track Program offers IACET Accredited Providers a simplified path to becoming ATD CI Pre-Approved Providers. Eligible organizations gain recognition for meeting ATD CI’s rigorous standards for APTD (Associate Professional in Talent Development) and CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development) certification programs.. Approved providers receive an ATD CI digital badge to showcase their status and are featured in a dedicated directory on ATD’s website, increasing visibility among certification holders and candidates. Because IACET accreditation satisfies most ATD CI provider requirements, the program significantly reduces administrative burdens while maintaining the highest level of quality assurance. Pre-approved providers can deliver programs aligned with ATD’s Talent Development Capability Model, ensuring professional growth and organizational impact.

This collaboration leverages the strengths of both organizations. IACET ensures compliance with global policies, including anti-discriminatory practices and learner privacy, while ATD CI aligns professional development programs with its Capability Model to support career and organizational success. “This partnership is a natural fit,” said Morgean Hirt, ICE-CCP, Director of Credentialing, ATD “By bridging accreditation and certification, we are ensuring professionals have access to high-quality learning experiences that empower them to succeed.”
