Sterling, VA — August 28, 2025-The International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) announces the appointment of Ralph Monroe, Bobbi Vernon, Niringiyimana Benjamini, and Amira El-Dib to the IACET Council on Standards Development (the Council). The Council governs IACET’s standards development process and ensures conformance with the ANSI Essential Requirements, safeguarding due process, openness, balance, consensus, and the right of appeal. Its role is to ensure the standards development framework remains credible, transparent, and accountable.

“We are delighted to welcome these accomplished professionals to the Standards Council,” said Randy Bowman, President & CEO of IACET. “Their expertise will support the rigorous, consensus-driven work that keeps the ANSI/IACET Standard relevant, actionable, and focused on results for learners, employers, and providers.”

The new members bring a wealth of expertise and diverse perspectives to the Council. Vernon contributes decades of experience in adult learning and credentialing, with active leadership at the Institute for Credentialing Excellence, including work on the ICE 1100 standard and accreditation councils. Monroe, an accreditation consultant, helps organizations align policies and operations with the ANSI/IACET Standard, drawing on deep knowledge of quality systems and process improvement. Benjamini offers a frontline perspective from an IACET Accredited Provider in Uganda, supporting the development, review, and quality assurance of training across multiple countries and public health programs. El-Dib, from the American University in Cairo, adds more than twelve years of auditing experience with the ANSI/IACET Standard and instructional design expertise recognized with an IACET Exemplary Program Award.

With these appointments, the Council reinforces IACET’s commitment to a credible, globally representative, and ANSI-compliant standards process that supports measurable outcomes for learners and organizations worldwide.
