Sterling, VA — October 9, 2024 - The International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) announces the recipients of the 2024 Awards. These organizations and individuals have significantly contributed to the field of Continuing Education and Training and were honored at the Awards Ceremony on October 9th during the Annual Conference.
IACET's President & CEO, Randy Bowman, expressed, “We are thrilled to recognize this year's award winners, whose dedication and innovation continue to elevate the standards of excellence in our industry. Their remarkable contributions exemplify the power of continual learning and reinforce our mission to promote quality education.”
Award Winners:
The Exemplar Training Organization Award goes to U.S. Army, Robert M. Joyce, MWR Academy. The MG Robert M. Joyce MWR Academy provides essential quality of life programs and services for Soldiers and their families. With a catalogue of over 60 courses and a robust Learning Management System, the Academy is dedicated to the professional development of its staff and enhancing service culture across the Army. “The MWR Academy is proud to receive this prestigious award. It reflects our commitment to excellence in training and our dedication to supporting the readiness of Soldiers and Families.”
The IACET Innovation of the Year Award for Technology Integration is awarded to Interplay Learning. Based in Austin, TX, Interplay Learning is a leader in immersive career development solutions for the skilled trades. Their innovative platform combines AI and 3D simulations to rapidly upskill technicians, enhancing job readiness in weeks. “This award highlights our mission to shape the future of career development and transform how companies train their teams. Our AI-based Skill Advisor and Mentor (SAM) represents a major leap forward in building skills effectively,” said Ariana Dugan, Vice President, Product.
The IACET Innovation of the Year Award for Learner Engagement goes to Bright Horizons. Bright Horizons Family Solutions Inc. has been a leader in high-quality early education and childcare for over 35 years, partnering with employers to support working families. “We are incredibly honored to receive the IACET Innovation of the Year Award for Learning Engagement. This recognition is a testament to our team’s dedication to creating transformative learning experiences that empower our educators and drive our mission forward,” they stated.
The IACET Distinguished Service Award is presented to Gustavo Garcia. Born in NYC, NY, Gustavo Garcia has over 30 years of experience in safety training and management, holding multiple certifications, including Certified Professional Engineer (PE) and Certified Safety Professional (CSP). “It’s an honor to receive this award. I believe that embracing new technological approaches to training, especially through AI, will transform how we train and work in the future,” he remarked.
The IACET Emerging Leader Award is awarded to Mignon Harris. Mignon Harris is a Training Program Specialist at the Federal Highway Administration’s National Highway Institute, where she drives innovation and fosters diversity and inclusion. “I am honored and humbled to receive the IACET Emerging Leaders Award. Being a leader means being the face of change you want to see, and I’m grateful for the support of my family and wife Joy, who inspires me every day,” she expressed.
