Instructional design is complex and, therefore, often misunderstood. While aesthetics is a part of it, it’s not about making presentation slides pretty. While content curation is a part of it, it’s not about content dumping and making everything clickable. While it’s about creating learner engagement, it’s not about using all the fancy tools on the market.

Rather, instructional design is the conduit to change; it’s about creating meaningful and transformational learning experiences that not only enhance knowledge retention, but drive change through improved performance. In this webinar, we’ll explore common misconceptions about instructional design and clarify its true purpose using approachable and beginner-friendly language. Whether you're new to the field or looking to refine your approach, this session will provide valuable insights into the principles and methodologies that shape effective learning experiences.

Webinar Goals

  • Explore instructional design’s role in learning engagement, problem-solving, and behavior change.
  • Identify key principles of effective instructional design.
  • Explain why instructional strategies matter more than flashy design.
