Deanne Cross
Deanne Cross currently works as the Associate Director of Education for the American Public Works Association (APWA). She has been with the association for seven years where she oversees all educational deliverables including education and keynotes for two national conferences, certificate programs, workshops, eCourses, and virtual education. Deanne develops and implements the educational strategy of the association with a focus on ensuring cohesion in the educational approach and programs and learner and speaker experiences. In her position at APWA, Deanne strives to implement a framework for education deliverables while encouraging creativity and innovation.
A Kansas City, MO native (GO CHIEFS!), Deanne graduated from William Jewell College with a BA in Biochemistry. She went on to receive a master’s degree in Student Affairs and Higher Education Administration from Indiana State University. Deanne’s career has focused on young adult education and personal development, working at both Hanover College and Chi Phi Fraternity before joining APWA staff in 2017.
