Learning Objectives
Dr. Mahmoud Hawamdeh is a professional with expertise in project management, instructional technology, educational administration, and training and development. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Education and Instructional Technology. Currently, Dr. Hawamdeh serves as the Director of the Continuing Education Center at Al-Quds Open University in Palestine, where he oversees the planning and implementation of a wide range of professional development programs. Previously, he played a key role as the Director of the Center of Digital Learning at the same university, leading the establishment of the Center and implementing innovative digital learning strategies. Before that, he held the position of Europe Fund Programs Coordinator at Al-Quds Open University, where he played a pivotal role in coordinating the university's participation in European Commission cooperation projects. In addition to his administrative roles, Dr. Hawamdeh is a part-time faculty member at Arab American University of Palestine (AAUP), where he teaches courses at the Master of Innovation in Education at the Faculty of Graduate Study and supervises Master's theses. A respected expert in his field, Dr. Hawamdeh has spoken at various national and international forums and webinars, including the 7th National Forum: Innovation and Future Skills organized by Higher Council for Innovation & Excellence (HCIE) and the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (ACET). He has also coordinated and worked on several impactful projects, such as the Action Research on E-learning in Palestinian Schools Project, funded by the Belgian development agency, and the Virtual Reality as an Innovative and Immersive Learning Tools for HEIs in Palestine, funded by Erasmus+. Dr. Hawamdeh published refereed articles and book chapters, including 'Comparative Analysis of Students and Faculty Level of Awareness and Knowledge of Digital Citizenship Practices in a Distance Learning Environment: Case Study,' and 'Systematic Analysis of the Effectiveness of Using Mobile Technologies (MT) in Teaching and Learning Foreign Language.
